What in the Zillow Is That?

A friend of mine, Mike Husson, introduced me to this new site: Zillow.com. At it's core, it's a real estate site, but if you look a bit closer you will see that it gives you a bit more insight into the marketplaces across our great nation. Here's an example of the average sale price in the cities in the Bay Area.

If you ever looked for a house, you'll know that you don't always only shop for price - sometimes you shop for neighborhood first and price second. I think in Zillow.2 the technology should allow you to shop within neighborhoods within cities. For example, you should be able to look at an online map, drag a "selection tool" over a small geographical area and see what's available. Not today, but hopefully Zillow will take looking-for-a-house to the next level.
